The Town of Casey has contract through 2010 with the assessor team of Feit & Meyer of Menomonie, WI. Dennis Feit & Lisa Meyer are in the process of completing a revaluation of the Town. The results of their revaluation will be reflected in the 2008 tax roll.
Commencing in mid-June 2008 through the end of July 2008, Feit & Meyer will be completing a property revaluation. This will require on site inspections and measuring of all buildings on your property. If you have any reservations or objections please contact the assessors at (715) 235-1338.
Open Book was scheduled for Saturday, September 6th between the hours of 8:00 am and noon at the Casey Town Hall. Due to the tax roll not being ready to accommodate this date Open Book has been rescheduled for Saturday September 20th between the hours of 8:00 am and noon at the Casey Town Hall.
For those unable to attend the first Open Book on September 20th a second date for Open Book has been added. This session will be held on Saturday October 4th between the hours of 11:00 am and 3:00 pm at the Casey Town Hall.
The date for Board of Review was Wednesday, May 14th at 7:00 pm, but since the tax roll will not be completed by that date the Casey Town Board will adjourn to reconvene on Wednesday, September 24th at 6:00 pm. Due to the tax roll not being ready to accommodate this date Board of Review will again meet and adjourn to reconvene Wednesday October 15th at 6:00 pm at the Casey Town Hall.
The process for challenging your taxes is first contacting the assessor preferably at Open Book. If you are not satisfied after completing this process you may contact Town of Casey clerk, Corrine Slabaugh, at (715) 635-7580 and secure and complete the forms necessary to appear at the Board of Review.
